Natchitoches, LA (4/30/2024) – The Natchitoches Police Department (NPD) reported on Monday a 15-year-old was shot and killed in the 200 block of University Drive.
NPD responded to the distressing scene, arriving just after 9:30 p.m. on April 29.
Upon reaching the location, officers discovered the young victim, who had sustained a single gunshot wound. Urgent efforts were made to transport the teenager to The Natchitoches Regional Medical Center. Tragically, despite the efforts of medical professionals, the victim succumbed to their injuries.
As of now, details surrounding the incident remain scarce, leaving the community grappling with shock and grief. The circumstances leading to the shooting and the identity of the perpetrator or perpetrators have not been disclosed by the authorities.
