Alexandria, La. (5/13/2026) – Former Alexandria Senior High standout Bud Clark officially signed his rookie contract with the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday, continuing a football journey that began in Central Louisiana.
UrbanCast’s CenlaGOAT is officially transferring Bud Clark coverage to LlydocAlwaysTalkingSports as the former ASH Trojan enters the next chapter of his career in the NFL.
Seattle selected Clark with the 64th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. The former TCU safety quickly became one of the most talked-about defensive additions in the Seahawks’ rookie class.
Clark built an impressive résumé at TCU. He served as a three-time team captain while earning second-team All-Big 12 honors twice. Over four seasons, he recorded 15 interceptions, including four last season. He also returned one interception for a touchdown.
Additionally, Clark showed versatility throughout college. He played both safety and nickel corner while consistently making plays around the football.
“I’m versatile and I’m a ballhawk,” Clark said after being drafted. “I’m getting to the ball every chance I get.”
Meanwhile, the Seahawks continue integrating their rookie class during offseason workouts. Clark said veteran players immediately welcomed him into the locker room.
“It’s been pretty good getting to know the guys,” Clark said. “They’ve taken me under their wing.”
Seattle officials also believe Clark’s personality fits perfectly within the team culture. Seahawks general manager John Schneider praised Clark’s energy after the draft.
Furthermore, Clark has already developed chemistry with All-Pro cornerback Devon Witherspoon. According to Clark, the two connected quickly because of their similar personalities.
“I feel like me and him clicked the most,” Clark said. “We’ve got the same personality, for sure.”
For many in Central Louisiana, Clark’s signing represents another major milestone for Alexandria football. From ASH to TCU and now the NFL, Bud Clark continues proving that hometown talent can compete on football’s biggest stage.
