Oklahoma: Gas station clerk asks a friend to rob the store so he can go home early

Tulsa, OK (6/17/2023) – The Tulsa Police Department reported a gas station clerk asked a friend to rob the store so he could go home early.

On 6/5/2023, Officers responded to a robbery at a popular convenience store at 61st and Lewis.

The store clerk, Isaias Jones, said a man walked in and handed him a note that said, “Give me all your money or I will shoot you.” Isaias Jones complied, and the suspect left with cash.

Through the investigation, Officers identified Steven Jones as the suspect.

On 6/8/2023, Steven Jones was arrested. He confessed to the robbery and said his friend, Alyia Locke, set up the robbery after the store clerk messaged her and asked if she would rob the store so he could go home early from his shift.

ON 6/9/2023, Alyia Locke was arrested for an outstanding warrant. She confessed to setting up the robbery. Locke also provided text messages from Isaias Jones asking for someone to rob the store so he could leave early. In exchange, Isaias Jones paid Locke after the robbery occurred.

On 6/14/2023, Robbery Detectives arrested Isaias Jones. He admitted to asking Locke to find someone to rob the store because he was tired and wanted to go home.

Steven Jones was charged with Conspiracy to Commit Embezzlement and Possession of a Firearm AFCF (After a Former Conviction of a Felony).

Isaias Jones was arrested for Embezzlement and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.

Alyia Locke was arrested for an outstanding warrant and could also face charges of Embezzlement.

This is an arrest, not a conviction.
