Alexandria, LA. (1/1/2023) – Alexandria Police Department (APD) confirms an Officer was injured with non-life threatening injuries. The officer was following up on a shots-fired call during an altercation between a person discharging a firearm at APD Officers. The location of the scene is the 600 Block of North Bolton Avenue.
The Officer is being treated for the injuries at this time.
The active situation is developing. APD said, disclosing additional details could compromise the Police Officer’s safety and resolution of the matter.
Multiple Law Enforcement agencies are on the scene.
