PINEVILLE, La. (2/3/2026) — A Pineville cruelty to the infirmed arrest followed what deputies first reported as a theft investigation on Stones Way.
On February 20, 2026, patrol deputies responded to the 90 block of Stones Way in Pineville. The call was initially reported as a theft. Deputies took the report and collected statements from the victim.
Detectives with the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office Tioga Substation later assumed the investigation. As the case developed, detectives identified the suspect as Mary Dianne Jackson, 42, of Atlanta, Louisiana. Authorities also list her as Mary Baxley Jackson.
According to investigators, detectives established probable cause for an arrest warrant. The warrant charged Jackson with cruelty to the infirmed.
On March 3, 2026, detectives made contact with Jackson at the Tioga Substation. They took her into custody without incident. Authorities then booked her into the Rapides Parish Detention Center.
Bond was set at $5,000. Jackson remains in jail at the time of this release.
However, detectives say the investigation is still active. As a result, additional arrests could follow.
