LSU Nursing Student Killed While Celebrating with Family in Belize

Belize, Central America (12/31/2022) – J’Bria Bowens, 23, an LSU nursing student from Indianapolis, Indiana, was killed in a San Pedro, Belize nightclub.

Bowens was shot and killed Friday, December 30, 2022, when a gunman opened fire outside the Jaguar Nightclub.

Authorities in Belize said Bowens was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities also believe that Bowens was not the intended target.
