LSBDC at LSUA to Host Free AI Workshop for Small Business Owners November 5

Central Louisiana entrepreneurs can learn practical ways to use artificial intelligence to save time, improve efficiency, and grow their businesses.

PINEVILLE, La. (UrbanCast: 10/31/2026) — Small business owners across Central Louisiana will have an opportunity to explore artificial intelligence during a free workshop in Pineville.

The Louisiana Small Business Development Center (LSBDC) at LSU Alexandria will host AI for Small Business Owners: Where to Start on Thursday, November 5, 2026.

The workshop will run from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Vibe Co-working Space, located at 602B Main Street in Pineville. Participants may attend in person or online through Zoom.

The LSBDC at LSUA organized the event in collaboration with Vibe Co-working Space and DGC Strategy.

Helping Small Businesses Put Artificial Intelligence to Work

Artificial intelligence is becoming an increasingly valuable resource for small business owners looking to improve productivity and streamline operations.

From automating repetitive tasks to managing daily responsibilities, AI tools can help entrepreneurs spend more time focusing on business growth.

The no-cost workshop will provide practical guidance for business owners, regardless of their technical experience.

Participants will explore several key topics, including:

  • Using AI to support everyday business operations.
  • Identifying AI tools for common business tasks.
  • Writing effective prompts to improve AI-generated results.
  • Finding opportunities to automate repetitive work.
  • Evaluating whether AI saves time and improves business outcomes.

Whether participants are new to AI or already experimenting with the technology, the session will offer strategies they can apply immediately.

Alexandria-Based AI Strategist Dan Condell to Lead Workshop

Dan Condell of DGC Strategy, an Alexandria-based consulting firm, will lead the training.

Condell helps business owners and their teams understand where artificial intelligence can create value and where it cannot.

He works with organizations nationwide and throughout Central Louisiana, helping them use AI strategically to increase productivity and improve efficiency.

His approach emphasizes practical AI literacy, allowing entrepreneurs to benefit from the technology without extensive technical knowledge.

Condell believes AI can help small and mid-sized businesses compete more effectively with larger companies.

Historically, larger organizations have maintained advantages through specialized teams and greater resources. However, AI is helping smaller businesses close that gap.

His goal is to help entrepreneurs reclaim valuable time and accomplish more with their existing resources.

Theresa Fette, founder of Nevada Tax Group and recognized by Fortune as one of its Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs, described Condell’s approach.

“Dan doesn’t just teach you AI. He teaches you how to use AI to amplify who you already are.”

LSBDC Encourages Local Entrepreneurs to Participate

Britni Lilley, Business Consultant with the LSBDC at LSUA, emphasized the importance of helping entrepreneurs understand the practical benefits of artificial intelligence.

“Many small business owners spend valuable time on tasks that could be streamlined through technology,” Lilley said.

“Dan has a unique ability to make AI approachable and practical. This workshop will help entrepreneurs identify real opportunities to save time, improve efficiency, and focus more of their energy on serving customers and growing their businesses.”

The workshop aims to help business owners recognize opportunities to strengthen their operations while making better use of their time.
