RPSO Captures Pineville Man Wanted in Domestic Abuse Investigation

Pineville, La. (UrbanCast: 9/16/2026) – A Pineville man sought by the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office was taken into custody Wednesday morning.

Detectives with the RPSO Special Victims Unit and Investigative Support Unit arrested Michael Monty Craig-Olano without incident.

RPSO had asked the public for help locating Craig-Olano Tuesday evening. Authorities said he was wanted on several domestic abuse-related allegations.

Craig-Olano, 22, was booked into Rapides Parish custody at 11:13 a.m. Wednesday, September 16.

According to the RPSO booking record, Craig-Olano faces four charges. Two are felony domestic abuse-related charges.

He is charged with aggravated assault involving domestic abuse and domestic abuse battery by strangulation.

Craig-Olano also faces two counts of violating a protective order. The booking record lists both as non-violent, first-offense violations.

The alleged domestic abuse offenses occurred September 2. The alleged protective order violations occurred September 8.

RPSO thanked the public following the arrest.

“We appreciate everyone’s assistance in the capture of this suspect,” the Sheriff’s Office said.

Craig-Olano remained in custody at the time of the latest update. His booking record showed no bond information, and his total bond had not been set.

RPSO was also seeking Patrick Fells in a separate case announced Tuesday. Fells is wanted for felony domestic abuse battery by strangulation and misdemeanor interfering with emergency communication.
