OAKDALE, La. (UrbanCast: 9/1/2026) — An Oakdale Police Department officer was arrested Monday by Louisiana State Police, according to public booking records obtained by UrbanCast from the Allen Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The officer is identified as Jalen Melbert, 33, of Oakdale.
Allen Parish booking records show Melbert was booked Monday, August 31, 2026, at approximately 5:11 p.m. The records identify Louisiana State Police as the arresting agency.
The booking information lists allegations of abuse of office and malfeasance in office/evidence. No bond amount was listed when UrbanCast reviewed the record.
