Shreveport, LA – June 4, 2024 – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Shreveport has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for parts of northwestern Louisiana and eastern Texas, effective until 7:45 PM CDT (2:45 PM PDT).
Affected Areas:
- Southwestern Grant Parish, LA
- Southeastern Red River Parish, LA
- Natchitoches Parish, LA
- Sabine Parish, LA
- Northeastern Sabine County, TX
Threats:
- Damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph, capable of causing roof, siding, and tree damage.
- Flash flooding due to torrential rainfall.
Current Situation:
As of 2:58 PM CDT, radar indicates severe thunderstorms moving east at 55 mph along a line extending from northwest of Montgomery to near Toledo Bend Dam.
