Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office Announces Recent Arrests in Leesville

Leesville, La. (5/18/2026) – The Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office released details on several recent arrests made in Leesville over the weekend.

Sheriff Sam Craft announced the arrests Monday as deputies continued ongoing investigations throughout Vernon Parish.

On May 15, deputies arrested Tina Schlegel Tighe, 54, of Leesville. Authorities charged Tighe with Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic, and Possession of Marijuana.

Officials said bond has not been set. Tighe remains in the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office jail.

Deputies also arrested Lance Joseph Meyer, 35, of Leesville, on May 15. Authorities charged Meyer with Cultivation of Marijuana and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute.

Bond has not been set for Meyer. He remains in the VPSO jail.

On May 16, deputies arrested Darkus Dartanyuan Dunlap, 54, of Leesville. Authorities said Dunlap was wanted on three outstanding bench warrants.

Investigators also charged Dunlap with Domestic Abuse Battery – Aggravated 2nd Degree.

Officials said bond has not been set. Dunlap remains in custody at the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office jail.

The Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate these cases.
