Three of four daycare workers sentenced

Vidalia, LA (9/7/2022) – In October 2021, CPSO Detectives began a joint investigation with the Louisiana State Police relative to the criminal abuse of children at the Noah’s Ark Daycare Center in Vidalia. As a result of that investigation, four subjects were arrested, including the owner, who all pleaded guilty to charges of Cruelty to Juveniles in June. Today, in Criminal District Court, Division A, Judge Kathy Johnson sentenced three of the subjects as follows:

Lysa Richardson, 36, Vidalia, LA
(3) Counts of Cruelty to Juveniles
Sentenced to (7) Years in the Department of Corrections at Hard Labor

Julieanne Perales, 27, Fayette, MS
(6) Counts of Cruelty to Juveniles
Sentenced to (12) Years in the Department of Corrections at Hard Labor Without Benefits

*Perales was sentenced to 3 years per count on six counts. The first three counts to run concurrently. The following three counts were consecutive to each other and to the first three counts, which equal 12 years total.

Bridget K. Delaughter, 33, Vidalia, LA
(3) Counts of Cruelty to Juveniles
Sentenced to (9) Years in the Department of Corrections at Hard Labor

The additional arrested subject, Taylor Rogonesi, is scheduled for sentencing on September 16, 2022.
