Red River, NM (5/28/2023) – According to New Mexico State Police (NWSP), three people were killed, and five others were injured at the Annual Red River Biker Rally.
The shootings occurred on Saturday, May 27, 2023. NWSP said the scene was secure, and there was no ongoing threat to public safety. One individual injured in the shooting was airlifted to a hospital in Denver. NWSP also said area law enforcement agencies secured all major hospitals.
NMSP requests the public to avoid Red River as they conduct their investigation.
NMSP will provide updates as new information emerges.
According to the Town’s website, approximately 28,000 bikers were expected to be in town for the 41st Annual Red River Biker Rally.
