LIVONIA, La. (1/14/2025) – A student was stabbed at Livonia High School Tuesday morning before classes started, according to multiple sources.
The incident occurred as students lined up to go through metal detectors. A source reported that another student stabbed the victim in the shoulder, causing significant bleeding.
Emergency personnel from the Livonia Police Department, Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s Office, and other first responders arrived on the scene. The injured student was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Livonia High School is located in Pointe Coupee Parish. Parents confirmed the incident happened on campus before the start of school, leading the administration to dismiss classes for the day.
