SHREVEPORT, La. (UrbanCast: 9/29/2026) — Three juveniles, including a 2-year-old child, were injured in a shooting Monday evening in Shreveport.
According to the Shreveport Police Department, officers responded around 6:30 p.m. Monday, September 28. The shooting happened at Olde Salem Village Apartments, located at 6725 Buncombe Road.
Police said preliminary findings indicate an unknown shooter fired multiple rounds toward a basketball court from a distance. Investigators have not said whether the victims were specifically targeted.
A 13-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries. A 17-year-old was listed in serious condition. Meanwhile, the 2-year-old suffered injuries described as non-life-threatening.
Police have not released a suspect description or possible motive. The investigation remains ongoing.
