Alexandria, LA (9/5/2024) — A significant police presence was observed on Jackson Street near Kroger this morning after a homeowner reported a terrifying home invasion. According to the homeowner, an intruder broke into their residence and held both the homeowner and her nephew at gunpoint.
The homeowner, who managed to escape just before the intruder attempted to force them to drive away, recounted the ordeal as the scariest experience of her life. “Thank God my family and I are safe, but I’m so distraught and all over the place right now,” she shared, expressing relief that no one was physically harmed.
Local law enforcement responded, and the suspect was apprehended after the homeowner escaped according to the homeowner. The Alexandria Police Department was seen on Jackson Street apprehending a suspect according to witnesses.
