SHREVEPORT, La. (3/15/2025) – An Evangel teacher suspected of sex crimes was arrested by Shreveport Police for inappropriate conduct involving a student.
On March 13, 2025, teacher Lillian McMillan faced charges for prohibited sexual conduct between an educator and a student.

The investigation began on March 12 after officers responded to Evangel Christian Academy at the 7400 block of Broadacres Road. Detectives interviewed McMillan, subsequently taking her into custody.
Days Earlier
Just days earlier, in an unrelated case, former Evangel Christian Academy bookkeeper Angela Nichole Stevens was arrested for felony theft. An investigation by Shreveport Police’s White Collar Crimes Unit began in February after Evangel officials reported suspicious financial activities.

Stevens allegedly misappropriated $85,700.25 from the academy between April 2023 and June 2024. Investigators traced missing school funds directly to Stevens’ personal bank account, leading to her arrest on March 10, 2025.
Pastor Denny Duron of Evangel Christian Academy issued a statement emphasizing the institution’s commitment to protecting students, saying, “We released this teacher immediately and will continue cooperating with authorities and stand by the victims.”
Authorities stress both cases remain under active investigation. Anyone with further information should contact Shreveport Police or Caddo Crime Stoppers.
