McComb, MS (6/22/2023) – The McComb Police Department reported a shooting involving a husband and wife.
According to McComb Police Chief Juan Cloy, the shooting occurred Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at a Hampton Inn Hotel around 3 pm.
Chief Cloy said Danny Prenell, Jr., husband, allegedly shot his wife, Gabriell Prenell, before turning the gun on himself.
According to Chief Cloy, the children were present. The children were turned over to Mississippi Child Protective Services. WAPT reported the shots were fired in front of his children.
The wife and husband were transported to a local hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this time. According to Facebook, Danny Prenell, Jr. is the Senior Pastor at Bright Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church from Alexandria, Louisiana.
