Update: Correction – Eight people, three juveniles

Shreveport, LA (1/22/2023) – Shreveport Police Department (SPD) reported at least six people were shot, including four juveniles, on Sunday, January 22, 2023.
SPD and SFD responded to the 1600 block of Sugar Street in the Cooper Road neighborhood around 2 pm.
Upon arrival, officers found multiple people injured due to apparent gunfire. All victims were transported to local Shreveport hospitals to be treated.
This investigation is ongoing, and no other information is available.
