Brusly High School Cheerleading mourns the tragic deaths of two BHS cheerleaders, killed in Saturday’s police chase

Brusly, LA (1/1/2023) – The entire Brusly community is mourning the tragic deaths of two Brusly High School Cheerleaders killed in a high-speed police chase on Saturday, December 31, 2022.

Maggie Dunn, 17, and Caroline Gill, 16, both cheerleaders, were killed in the chase. The Brusly High School Cheerleading team released the following message on Facebook:

As we mourn the tragic deaths of Maggie Dunn and Caroline Gill please keep their families, friends, and the BHS community in your thoughts and prayers. Their enthusiasm and bright smiles will be missed more than can be imagined.”

The young ladies were killed on Saturday when an Addis Police Officer ran a red light, reportedly in pursuit of a Baton Rouge suspect, according to witnesses on the scene. A third person was said to have been transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
