The third Restaurant to close in Alexandria in three months

Alexandria, La. (11/1/2022) – 2020-22 has been hard for restaurants. Across the country, a sharp decline in dining indoors and labor shortages. The third restaurant in Alexandria in three months will shut its doors tomorrow, leaving the southernmost part of Alexandria District #3 a hot food desert.

In what is deemed the “restaurant apocalypse” by many in the food service industry, the shockwaves of the COVID-19 pandemic and the continued lack of an economic initiative in the City of Alexandria have affected restaurants with many other local businesses.

According to posts released on Steve Charks’ Facebook Page, Uncle Willies 3 Fat Brothers, located at 2500 Third Street, will close on Wednesday, November 2, 2022.
