Central Louisiana (UrbanCast: 10/29/2026) — Acadian Ambulance’s teams across Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi celebrated National First Responders Day to honor its first responder partners in fire, law enforcement and 911 communications.
Acadian celebrated with appreciation events across Acadia, Allen, Ascension, Assumption, Avoyelles, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Caldwell, Catahoula, Evangeline, Grant, Iberia, Iberville, Jeff Davis, Lafayette, Lafourche, Livingston, Morehouse, Ouachita, Sabine, St. Helena, St. James, St. John, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, Union, Vermilion, and Vernon parishes in Louisiana; Adams, George, Harrison, and Jackson counties in Mississippi; and Hardin, Jefferson, Liberty, and Orange counties in Texas.
Teams in each area hosted cookouts and breakfasts, or visited area departments with lunches and treats to honor paramedics, EMTs, dispatchers, and fellow first responders. Many of the events brought together local officials, police officers, and firefighters to recognize the dedicated men and women who step up during emergencies.
“None of us do this job alone,” said Acadian Ambulance President Justin Back. “We rely on our partner agencies every single day, and being able to get together and show our appreciation is something our whole team looks forward to.”
Events like these continue to strengthen ties among first responders in local communities and highlight a shared commitment to serving others.
