LSBDC at LSUA to Host Free “Finding Hidden Profit” Training for Central Louisiana Business Owners

ALEXANDRIA, La. (UrbanCast: 6/13/2026) — The Louisiana Small Business Development Center (LSBDC) at LSU Alexandria will host a free training session aimed at helping established business owners improve profitability through stronger operations and smarter business practices.

The workshop, “Finding Hidden Profit – How to Identify and Fix Profit Leaks in Your Business,” is scheduled for Thursday, July 23, 2026, beginning at 6 p.m. at Ugly Mug Marketing, 325 Desoto Street in Alexandria.

The training will be led by Clarke Woods, an operations executive with more than 20 years of experience leading service-based businesses in construction, operations and maintenance, infrastructure, and field services.

According to the LSBDC, the session is designed for established business owners who want to move beyond simply increasing sales and instead focus on improving operational efficiency to boost profitability.

Woods specializes in operational strategy, financial forecasting, key performance indicator (KPI) development, organizational design, and scaling multi-location businesses. As a consultant, he works with business owners to identify operational bottlenecks, improve execution, and develop systems that support long-term growth.

“As business owners, we often focus first on growing sales,” Woods said. “While that’s an important part of running a business, we sometimes end up doing more work for the same results. This training will provide practical insights that business owners can use to build the foundation for profitable growth.”

Training Is Free

The training is FREE and open to business owners throughout Central Louisiana. Registration is requested.
