COTTONPORT, La. (UrbanCast: 6/9/2026) — A routine traffic stop Thursday evening ended with a man in custody and four controlled substances off the street.
Cottonport Police officers pulled over a 2017 GMC SUV around 8:05 p.m. on June 5 after observing multiple traffic violations. The stop quickly turned into a criminal investigation.
Officers arrested Anthony Bradford, 47, of Cottonport. He now faces six charges.
Police booked Bradford on possession of MDMA, crack cocaine, Suboxone, and Xanax — covering Schedule I through Schedule IV controlled dangerous substances under Louisiana law. He also faces charges of resisting an officer and obstruction of justice.
Officers transported Bradford to the Avoyelles Parish Detention Center for booking and processing.
Investigators say the case remains open and ongoing.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
