LEESVILLE, La. (6/8/2026) — Vernon Parish Sheriff Sam Craft announced four recent arrests made by the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office between June 5 and June 7.
According to VPSO, April Dawn Wright, 41, of Leesville, was arrested on June 5 and charged with one count of Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic, one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and one count of Possession of a Schedule IV Narcotic. Bond was set at $7,750. Wright remains in the Vernon Parish Jail.
Also on June 5, Jaala Alexis Savoy, 27, of Leesville, was arrested and charged with one count of Criminal Trespass, one count of Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bond had not been set as of the report, and Savoy remains in the Vernon Parish Jail.
Elijah Corvon Ray Wiggins, 19, of DeRidder, was arrested June 5 and charged with one count of Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile. Bond had not been set as of the report, and Wiggins remains in the Vernon Parish Jail.
On June 7, George Denby Jr., 62, of DeRidder, was arrested and charged with one count of Criminal Mischief and one count of Criminal Trespass. Bond was set at $2,576. Denby remains in the Vernon Parish Jail.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
