Alexandria, La. (5/9/2026) — The RBF ELITE girls flag football program continues building momentum across Central Louisiana. This season, the organization celebrated a major milestone as its 12U girls team completed an undefeated championship run.
RBF ELITE includes both boys and girls flag football teams across several age divisions. The organization features teams in 10U, 12U, 14U, and high school divisions while continuing to create opportunities for young athletes throughout the community.
However, this season belonged to the 12U girls team.
The group finished undefeated while competing with confidence, discipline, and toughness every week. In addition, the team competed against older age groups and continued finding ways to win through teamwork and preparation.
The season also brought attention beyond the field.
Members of the 12U girls team earned interviews with NFL FLAG partnered reporters, giving the athletes an opportunity to share their experiences and highlight the continued growth of girls flag football.
Several players also earned MVP honors throughout the season for their performances and leadership during tournaments.
Coach Damondre Haddix said the season became about much more than football. What started as a group of girls learning the game quickly developed into a family built on accountability, resilience, and belief in one another.
Meanwhile, the program continues helping young girls grow in confidence both on and off the field. The athletes learned teamwork, leadership, discipline, and self-confidence throughout the season.
Haddix also credited RBF ELITE founder Richard Jefferson Jr. for building the organization and creating opportunities for young athletes across the area.
Jefferson organized and developed the league structure that continues expanding opportunities for boys and girls flag football throughout Central Louisiana.
As interest in girls flag football continues growing nationwide, RBF ELITE is helping push that momentum locally through mentorship, structure, and competition.
