RAPIDES PARISH, La. (3/20/2025) – Authorities arrested a Rapides teacher for suspected child abuse following an investigation by the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives charged Angela Lacey Hoosier, 43, with three counts of suspected cruelty to juveniles.

Detectives, with assistance from the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services, launched an investigation. They contacted the Children’s Advocacy Center to conduct a forensic interview with the juvenile involved.
