Grant Parish – Louisiana State Police Special Victim’s Unit (LSP SVU) conducted an investigation which resulted in the arrest of 38-year-old Billy Pilgrim of Pineville.
On February 6, 2024, LSP SVU conducted an operation and identified the suspect as Billy Pilgrim. As a result of the investigation and information obtained, arrest warrants were acquired for Pilgrim. The arrest warrants were issued for Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor and Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile. After locating Pilgrim, he was arrested and booked into the Grant Parish Detention Center.
According to the Rapides Parish inmate inquiry system, Pilgrim booked into RPSO at 7:29 pm on and released to Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputies at 8:43 pm on a Louisiana Fugitive charge.
According to Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office, Pilgrim faces charges of Computer-Aided Solicitation for Sexual Purposes and Indecent Behavior with Juveniles. Pilgrim’s bond has been set at $75,000.
At the time of his arrest, Pilgrim was employed with the Rapides Parish School Board Office. The investigation remains active and ongoing. No further information is available at this time.
Rapides Parish Schools realesed the following statement:
RPSB was notified that an employee of Rapides High School was arrested by the Louisiana State Police. We are aware of the allegations, but none of these were brought to RPSB administration prior to the arrest. We are cooperating with law enforcement as we work together to ensure our students are safe and policies and laws are followed to protect them. We will not be able to comment any further, as this is an ongoing investigation into a personnel matter. We are thankful for our law enforcement officials who strive to keep our schools and students safe.
