Baton Rouge, LA (12/5/2023) – Baton Rouge Police Homicide Detectives are investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred in the 800 block of North 22nd St around 9:43am this morning.
A 2012 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was traveling north bound on North 22nd St when it struck a Nissan Versa sedan that was attempting to turn make a left turn onto Fuqua Ave from southbound North 22nd St. There were 3 occupants in the sedan. Two were of occupants were transported to a local hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. The 3rd occupant, 14 years of age, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The two occupants in the pick-up truck fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival. The 2012 pick-up was reported stolen through Zachary Pd.
