Lake Charles, LA (11/18/2023) – The Louisiana State Police (LSP) reported a Texas man was arrested for human trafficking.
In November 2023, LSP Gaming Enforcement Division (LSP GED) initiated an investigation into human trafficking, which resulted in the arrest of Jarvis Renfro, a 40-year-old resident of Houston, Texas. Renfro was found to have recruited multiple females to engage in explicit acts in exchange for monetary gain. As the investigation progressed, LSP GED discovered Renfro and the female victims were residing at a local casino.
On November 16, 2023, Renfro was interviewed and subsequently apprehended for his involvement in human trafficking. In addition to this charge, he also faced allegations of promoting prostitution, inciting prostitution, and soliciting prostitutes. Renfro was then taken into custody and booked at the Calcasieu Correctional Center, with his bond set at $575,000.00.
