Pineville, LA (9/11/2023) – On August 28, 2023, the Pineville Police Department received a theft report from The Family Justice Center.
An internal audit revealed that an ex-employee had taken funds from the business.
The Criminal Investigation Bureau investigated the theft of funds and obtained an arrest warrant for Carly Long, 38, of Woodworth, Louisiana.
The Family Justice Center of Central Louisiana is a collaborative organization that provides victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault (including children, adults, and the elderly) a secure place to receive services from multiple agencies, all under ONE roof. The Center strives to create a community where survivors and children are safe, abusers are held accountable, economic justice is fostered, and families thrive.
The warrant was for one count of Theft (Felony).
On Friday, September 8, 2023, Ms. Long was arrested and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center, and her bond was set at $1,000.
This investigation is ongoing.
