Bush, LA (8/20/2023) – The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office (STPSO) reported a 12-year-old girl died after an ATV crash, and one was injured.
According to STPSO, the 12-year-old died early Sunday morning at a New Orleans, Louisiana hospital.
St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office identified the girl as Payton Strain and said in an initial report Payton was the driver of the ATV.
The accident occurred in the Grande Hills Neighborhood on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at around 7 pm. The Sheriff’s spokesperson said the ATV left the roadway and hit a tree.
The incident is under investigation. No further information is available.
