Alexandria, LA (8/17/2023) – A spokesperson with the Rapides Parish Coroner’s Office confirmed one person (male) was shot and killed late on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.
The official said the death was connected to a shooting on Levin Street.
Several sources said multiple people were injured in the Levin Street incident.
We have contacted the Alexandria Police Department and the City of Alexandria. However, no comments nor additional information was released. A source within the police department said that the information was sent to the Mayor’s Office.
No further information is known at this time. The deceased name was not released pending notification of relatives.
