20-Year-Old Raydrian Fisher to Be Remembered July 11 Following Fatal Alexandria Shooting

ALEXANDRIA, La. (UrbanCast: 6/30/2026) — Family, friends, and the Alexandria community will gather July 11 to celebrate the life of 20-year-old Raydrian Jaquan Fisher, whose life ended after a shooting in Alexandria on June 26.

According to Miller and Hill Funeral Directors, Fisher was born Dec. 17, 2005, in Ferriday to King Colbert and Christa Fisher. His obituary remembers him as a young man with a vibrant spirit, a kind heart, and a deep love for his family.

Fisher graduated from high school and enjoyed basketball, video games, and spending time with friends. His family said he took pride in his appearance and was known as someone who protected and cared for those around him.

Tragically Cut Short

His obituary also states that his life was “tragically cut short” by a senseless act of violence. However, his family said they want him to be remembered for the love he shared and the lives he touched rather than the circumstances of his death.

According to the Alexandria Police Department, Fisher died at a local hospital around 4 p.m. on Friday, June 26, after suffering gunshot wounds in a shooting near Tennessee Avenue and 11th Street.

The Rapides Parish Coroner’s Office confirmed it is conducting an active death investigation. Officials said Fisher, an Alexandria resident, died from gunshot wounds. An autopsy is pending.

Police said the case remains under investigation. Investigators continue working to identify and arrest the person responsible.

APD also said Fisher’s death marked Alexandria’s first gun-related homicide of 2026, ending nearly seven months without a gun-related homicide in the city.

Before officials released details, UrbanCast reported from the scene early Friday morning. At that time, information came only from witness accounts and had not been confirmed by law enforcement. UrbanCast requested official information from the City of Alexandria and later updated its reporting as official information became available.

Celebration of Life for Fisher

A Celebration of Life for Fisher is scheduled for Saturday, July 11, at 1 p.m. at Jonesville Junior High School, located at 802 Johnson Street in Jonesville. Public viewing and visitation will take place from noon until 1 p.m.

Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to contact the Alexandria Police Detective Division at (318) 441-6416 or APD Dispatch at (318) 441-6559. Tips may also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers of CenLaat (318) 443-7867 or through the P3 Tips app.

The UrbanCast and InvolvedInItAll.com family extends our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Raydrian Jaquan Fisher during this difficult time. We continue to keep them in our thoughts and prayers.
