Volunteers of America® (VOA), in collaboration with the Strengthening Families Program, invites families to participate in an enriching and transformative experience – the “Fun Family Makeover.” This initiative aims to cultivate strong family bonds, foster positive relationships, and equip parents with essential skills to guide their children towards a fulfilling and drug-free life.

Dear Parents,
For children to thrive academically, succeed in life, and navigate away from addiction, they require parents who excel in nurturing loving relationships, setting clear boundaries against alcohol and drugs, and actively monitoring their activities. The “Fun Family Makeover” offers an opportunity for families to acquire these crucial skills.
Program Details:
- Family Classes begin on May 14, 2024.
- Sessions held on Tuesdays at 5:30 pm with dinner provided.
- Children aged 7 to 17 are encouraged to participate.
- On-site childcare is available for children aged 6 and under.
- Transportation assistance is available for families in need.
Benefits of Participation:
- Parents can enhance their parenting skills, improve marital communication, and alleviate stress, depression, and substance abuse.
- Children can develop social skills, excel academically, reduce misconduct, and manage depression and anxiety. The program significantly reduces the risk of tobacco, alcohol, and other drug use.
- Families can strengthen their unity, improve management and organization, and decrease conflicts within the household.
