High winds caused an outflow boundary, leaving trees, utility lines, and debris scattered across multiple roads in the parish. The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office has issued a traffic advisory, urging drivers to exercise caution.
Deputies, local fire departments, and the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development worked overnight. They responded to weather-related calls, clearing obstructions from roads. Goldonna Marshal Lawrence Sampey also assisted in these efforts.
Several areas in the parish are experiencing power outages. As of 4:36 AM, deputies continue to respond to reports of trees and debris blocking roadways.
