Lena, LA (3/12/2023) – A week or so before yesterday’s game, the Lady Gators of Northwood won the state title to go back-to-back as champions. So winning the title would not only give the boys’ team recognition around the state, it would allow them to come back to school and hold their heads up just as high as the dominating Lady Gators.
We can only imagine how those young ladies would have rubbed it in on these boys every chance they got. Thankful for those young men; they did their thing and get to say we are champions too!!
Considering the rarity of a school having the boys and girls champions in the same year, we can only imagine that trophy case!!
Now when you ride up 49 and see that Lena exit, you better say, “they can hoop in that lil town”!
