Stanley Goldsby Jr. Suspected of a Double Murder in Shreveport Arrested in Alexandria for the Murder of Anthony Bell

Alexandria, LA (2/28/2024) – In a tragic turn of events, Stanley Goldsby Jr. has been arrested by the Alexandria Police Department (APD) on charges related to the murder of 21-year-old Anthony Bell of Alexandria.

The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, sent new shockwaves through the community, reigniting concerns over persistent violent crimes.

Responding to a call on the evening of February 27, APD officers arrived at the 1300 block of Enterprise Road to find Bell fatally wounded by a gunshot. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, as authorities work to piece together the events leading up to the tragic incident.

Goldsby’s apprehension in Alexandria brings to light his troubled past. Previously, he made headlines in 2020 when he was arrested for his alleged involvement in a double homicide case in Shreveport, Louisiana.

The victims, 25-year-old Ladarrien Taylor and 23-year-old Denzel Taylor, were fatally shot at a residence on Wallace Avenue. Goldsby, then 33 years old, was accused of instigating an argument that escalated into a deadly confrontation, resulting in the deaths of the Taylor brothers.

After his extradition from Missouri, where he was apprehended during a traffic stop, Goldsby was held at the Caddo Correctional Center on a $350,000 bond. The details surrounding his release from custody in the Caddo Parish Jail System remain undisclosed.
