Rapides Parish joins districts in Texas, New Jersey, and California in successfully overcoming pandemic-related learning loss. The New York Times featured Rapides Parish in its coverage, emphasizing its remarkable progress.

David Leonhardt of The Morning newsletter noted, “Some school districts, including in poorer areas, have largely recovered from the Covid learning loss.” He highlighted Rapides Parish alongside Compton, Calif.; Ector County, Texas; and Union City, N.J.
