One-Vehicle Crash Claims Pedestrian’s Life in Alexandria

Alexandria, LA (2/26/2024) – On Monday, February 26, 2024, authorities responded to a tragic incident at approximately 9:30 AM, where a single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian occurred in the 1400 block of MacArthur Drive near CiCi’s Pizza.

Initial investigations revealed that 83-year-old Nathan Hale, a resident of Pineville, LA, was struck by a truck while walking in a parking lot. Despite efforts to save his life, Hale succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a local hospital.

Routine toxicology tests are pending for the driver of the truck involved in the incident.

The Alexandria Police Department emphasizes that this is an ongoing investigation and urges anyone with relevant information to come forward.
