Sheriff Mark Wood held a press conference today at 3 PM, detailing the operation. Over the last several weeks, RADE agents had received community complaints about narcotic activity at the residence. Through investigative techniques, agents obtained a search warrant for the property.

During the raid, suspects Bobby Smith Jr. and Dekevius Hollins attempted to flee but were quickly apprehended. Smith Jr. resisted arrest and was found with two ounces of fentanyl on his person. Inside the residence, agents discovered six pounds of cocaine, valued between $450,000 and $500,000, along with two ounces of high-grade marijuana.

The cocaine was compressed into bricks, with one featuring a personalized Bulldog emblem. A matching emblem was found in the kitchen, along with a hydraulic press, plastic wrap, and a blender coated with cocaine. Agents also seized $38,000 in cash, a stolen .45 caliber pistol, and drug paraphernalia.

The suspects arrested include Kynjy Brown, Bobby Smith Jr., Dekevius Hollins, and Emoine Brisco. Charges include possession with intent to distribute cocaine, fentanyl possession, illegal possession of firearms, and resisting arrest.

The RADE Unit, a multi-jurisdictional task force, is continuing its investigation, and additional arrests may follow. The community is encouraged to report narcotics activity directly to the RADE Unit via their Facebook page.

This major drug bust in Alexandria highlights the RADE Unit’s commitment to combating narcotics trafficking in Central Louisiana. Sheriff Wood thanked the RADE Team, Chief Chad Gremillion, Alexandria Police Department and all others involved.
