Harvey, LA (2/9/2023) – According to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Joseph Lopinto, a mother, father, and two sons were killed in a suspected murder-suicide on Thursday, February 9, 2023.
Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 911 call from a home in the 1100 block of Curtis Street in Harvey, Louisiana. Upon arrival, deputies found a deceased 14-year-old male, a 20-year-old male, an adult female, and an adult male.
Lopinto told reporters at a Press Briefing while on the scene that the suspected shooter (adult male) told 911 agents, “we can’t live like this anymore. You’ll find four bodies when you get here.”
The sheriff said the adult male was a former law enforcement officer.
