ALEXANDRIA, La. (3/10/2025) – Detectives have announced that Philip Barry Felter was arrested and charged with the murder of Brenda Kay White.
Sheriff’s detectives developed evidence through DNA analysis linking Felter to White’s disappearance from May 2024.
Initially, the Alexandria Police Department began investigating White’s disappearance, identifying Felter as a suspect. Sheriff’s detectives took over after learning Felter was already in custody on separate murder charges involving Buster Evans.
Investigators established that White lived with Felter at 68 Bohannon Road, Pineville, LA, when she vanished. Detectives then began treating White’s case as a homicide.
On March 7, 2025, detectives obtained sufficient probable cause for a warrant. Philip Barry Felter was arrested again for second-degree murder related to White’s case. Felter remains jailed with a total bond set at $2,250,000.
The investigation continues, and detectives believe additional arrests are possible.
