Submitted a Request
UrbanCast submitted a request for information through the Mayor’s Office at approximately 9:30 a.m. Friday. No response was received before the statement was released later that evening. Under the City’s communications policy, media inquiries are routed through the Mayor’s Office rather than through a dedicated law enforcement public information officer.
The shooting remains under investigation.
Editor’s Note: Alexandria Police released the identity of the arrested individual, and UrbanCast is reporting the information provided by law enforcement. However, UrbanCast is not publishing a booking photograph. As a matter of practice, UrbanCast generally does not publish booking photographs for the charges announced in this case unless authorities identify a specific public safety need.
