Alexandria, La. (UrbanCast: 6/18/2026) — An Alexandria man was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center on three counts of attempted second-degree murder, according to records from the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office inmate inquiry system.
The inmate record identifies the suspect as Henry Nelson III, 25, of Alexandria. Records show he was booked on June 17, 2026, at approximately 2:45 p.m.
The booking lists three felony counts of attempted second-degree murder.
The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed the Alexandria Police Department was the arresting agency in the case.
RPSO also confirmed Nelson’s total bond has been set at $1.5 million. The amount consists of three separate $500,000 bonds, one attached to each charge.
The inmate inquiry system lists Nelson as a pre-trial detainee housed at Rapides Parish Detention Center 1.
At this time, no additional details regarding the allegations or circumstances surrounding the arrest have been released publicly.
