Kenner, LA (4/12/2023) – Kenner Police Department (KPD) reported two men were arrested after a maintenance man was shot and killed while repairing a home.
Lawrence Herr, 66, was fatally shot Monday, April 10, 2023, around 11 am at the home he was repairing in the University City neighborhood of Kenner. The victim was transported to a local hospital, later succumbing to his injuries.
Maurice Holmes, 25, and Tahj Matthews, 23, both of Kenner, Louisiana, were arrested and charged with First-Degree Murder.
The suspect’s vehicle, a silver Mercedes, was located and searched after a search warrant was obtained. A handgun was found inside the car.Â
