Shreveport, LA (2/27/2023) – A pedestrian struck and mortally wounded by a vehicle on North Hearne Avenue early Sunday, February 26, 2023, has been named by the Caddo Parish Coroner’s office.
Mitchell Frieson, 21, of the 6400 block of Henderson Avenue in Shreveport, was walking across the highway in its 2500 block just after midnight when he was struck by a vehicle that did not stop. He was transported to Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at 12:40 a.m.
The incident remains under investigation by the Shreveport Police Department.
An autopsy was ordered.
