Monroe, LA (2/8/2023) – According to Monroe Police Department (MPD), three people were shot, and one victim died on the scene.
The shooting occurred around 4:00 pm Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at a convenience store located in the 1200 Block of Winnsboro Road. One person of interest was placed into custody.
Jarvis Johnson, 31, of Monroe, Louisiana, was arrested for 2nd-degree murder, two counts of attempted 2nd-degree murder, criminal conspiracy, and illegal carrying of a weapon.
The Monroe Police Department is asking for the public’s help locating a second suspect, Xavier Givens.
