Alexandria, LA (1/31/2023) – Alexandria Police Detectives (APD) arrested two 17-year-old male juveniles today, both from Alexandria, about a shooting that happened this past Friday night at IHOP.
At approximately 09:23 PM, on January 27th, the Alexandria Police Department was dispatched to the businesses (IHOP) in the 2100 block of MacArthur Drive parking lot about someone being shot. Upon APD Officers’ arrival, they discovered two 17-year-old males from Alexandria, LA, had been shot by an unknown assailant while standing in the parking lot.
One of the victims had been struck in the hip, and the other victim in the leg. Both victims were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening wounds by private vehicles. After being treated for their injuries, both were later released.
Upon further investigation by APD Detectives, one of the 17-year-old males that had been shot was arrested and charged with one count of Illegal Use of a Weapon and one Count of Illegal Possession of a Firearm by a Juvenile. Another 17-year-old male that had been firing a weapon from a vehicle was also arrested and charged with one count of Illegal Use of a Weapon and one Count of Illegal Possession of a Firearm by a Juvenile.
This is currently an ongoing investigation.
