“Whoa Nellie”!!!!

Every Saturday for years, when the legend Keith Jackson said one of his famous quotes, you knew some of the biggest games in college football history were happening! And while college football season is over, this is talking about the NFL Playoffs that kick off today!!

This is a historic playoff in itself, as it is the first one with 14 teams. It is also historic as it will feature the first Monday night playoff game in NFL history! And in a storybook matchup straight out of a Hollywood script, the most decorated QB in NFL history, Tom Brady, and the Tampa Bay Bucs face off with the most valuable American sports franchise, The Dallas Cowboys.

The NFC playoff kicks off Saturday afternoon with a divisional rivalry battle between the surprising Seattle Seahawks, who got in when Aaron Rodgers and the Packers lost on the last game of the season to the Detroit Lions, and the team many are favoring to come out of the NFC, the San Francisco 49ers.

Sunday NFC Matchup sees the NY Giants go on the road to face the #3 seed in the NFC, the Minnesota Vikings.

The AFC is loaded with QB Talent. If not for injury, every team in the AFC would be led at QB by a player they drafted in the First round. Injuries to Lamar Jackson and Tua Tagovailoa kept that from happening. Their playoffs start with a prime-time QB matchup of QBs, both making their first appearances. Justin Hebert and the Los Angeles Chargers travel to Jacksonville to battle Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars.

The Bills battle their division rival, the Miami Dolphins, who will start a rookie, Skylar Thompson, because there are shredded at the position.  The Cincinnati Bengals and the Bayou Bengal tandem of Joe Burrow and Jamar Chase look to be the rude hosts as they begin their journey back to the Super Bowl against one of their arch-nemesis, the Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore has yet to name a starter after their superstar QB Lamar Jackson announced on social media he was out.

The Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles were the #1 seed in their respective conference and received a bye because of it.

With The Los Angeles Rams not in the playoffs this year, a new Super Bowl champion will be crowned. Who will it be? What team is going to end up going on the ultimate run? That remains to be seen! But as a fan of the NFL, I can’t wait to see it!
